As early as 1991 a group of young enthusiasts started looking for an answer to the question - How do you measure the impact of communication and public relations activities?
Press clipping was established as a result of these attempts on April 14, 1994 in Maribor, Slovenia. It started with media monitoring and assessment of media reports. Our first clients in Slovenia were Mura, TAM, Employment Office, Kreditna banka Maribor, Ministry of Environmental Protection etc.
In the same year the company became a member of the world's association of media monitors FIBEP (Fedeartion Internationale des Bureaux Extraits de Presse). The association groups together agencies from 33 countries, employing around 3000 people. Thus, membership enables media coverage of 70,000 printed media throughout the world.
The office in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia, was opened in 1999, which was soon was followed by the establishment of Press clipping d.o.o., a limited liability company. Its first clients were Tetra Pak, Agrokor, Diners Club Adriatic, Generalturist, Grand Auto, Croatia Airlines etc. Media monitoring services gained their popularity in Croatia and less than a year after the establishment, the company became one of the leading companies in Croatia in the area of media monitoring and analysis.
The growth of the company accelerated, thus leading to the establishment of Press Clipping Podgorica in 2003 and the following companies were founded in 2004 and 2005: Press clipping Banja Luka, Press clipping Mostar, CITY MG Sarajevo, Media clipping Beograd and Press clipping Macedonia.
All the companies that were established with the help of the mother company in Maribor are today a part of the Media Intelligence Group. The group consists of companies from Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and today employs over 200 people who monitor over 2000 media daily and provide media monitoring services for over 500 clients.
